Job description

Job Summary:
Fresh Express is seeking a proactive and versatile Systems Analyst to join their team. The successful candidate will maintain existing legacy integrations and contribute to the migration towards modern cloud analytics platforms, ensuring data integrity across complex environments.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing data integration workflows, including those connecting IBM iSeries/DB2 systems with modern SQL Server environments.
• Assist in the architectural transition from legacy EDI and data platforms to event-driven, cloud-native integration solutions.
• Support the migration of data reporting workflows from legacy Power BI Dataflow Gen1 to Gen2 and the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to streamline system administration, data movement, and cloud resource management.
• Partner with senior team members to design robust, scalable interfaces that ensure high availability and data consistency between staging and production environments.
• Maintain clear documentation of integration logic, system configurations, and standard operating procedures to ensure team-wide knowledge share.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong working knowledge of SQL (specifically MSSQL). Experience writing complex queries, triggers, and stored procedures.
• Proven ability to automate tasks and manage infrastructure components using Python and PowerShell.
• Familiarity with ETL processes, data synchronization strategies, and general integration patterns.
• Experience with Power BI and Power Query.
• Ability to debug and resolve complex connection issues between legacy and modern systems.
• A strong desire to work in a hybrid environment, balancing the stability requirements of legacy systems with the agility of modern cloud services.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 2–4 years of experience in a systems analysis, data integration, or backend support role.
Preferred:
• Familiarity with data modeling or cloud data platforms is a significant plus.
