Position:
Cashco has one opening for an Export Assistant on-site at our Ellsworth location.
Summary:
The Export Assistant supports daily sales operations within a manufacturing environment by assisting customers, processing orders, maintaining customer records, and coordinating communications between customers, production, and sales teams. This position also serves as a backup resource for Technical Writing and Export Shipping functions, providing support with product documentation, work instructions, export documentation, and shipment coordination as needed.
Responsibilities:
Office Support
  • Process customer orders, quotations, acknowledgments, and related sales documentation.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, order status, and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain customer records and sales data within ERP and CRM systems.
  • Coordinate with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Generate reports and assist with sales tracking, forecasting, and administrative activities.
  • Support the team with presentations, proposals, customer communications and general administrative tasks to help with the smooth function of the office.
Technical Writing Support
  • Assist in the preparation, editing, and maintenance of technical documents, including product manuals, work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
  • Coordinate with engineering, quality, and production personnel to gather and verify technical information.
  • Ensure documentation is accurate, current, and compliant with company standards.
Export Shipping Support
  • Assist with international shipping activities and export compliance requirements.
  • Prepare export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and other shipping documents.
  • Coordinate with freight carriers, customs brokers, and customers to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
  • Maintain records related to export shipments and compliance activities.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of industrial products or mechanical components such as valves, fittings, or piping systems is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook): experience with ERP or CRM systems is a plus.
  • Excellent Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
