Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and oversee domestic and international shipments to ensure accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and on-time delivery.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and mentoring for Logistics Specialists and Customs and Foreign Trade Specialists.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for shipment delays, service failures, carrier issues, customs-related challenges, and customer concerns.
  • Assign work, prioritize tasks, and balance workloads to ensure operational coverage and service level expectations are met.
  • Audit and validate freight invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with contracted rates and approved charges, and resolve discrepancies to support cost control.
  • Support compliance with applicable import and export regulations, including proper documentation, record retention, and adherence to internal procedures.
  • Analyze logistics and transportation data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support business objectives, resolve issues, and improve logistics performance.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience totaling at least 6 years of relevant logistics or supply chain experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting import and export logistics processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience supporting compliance with U.S. import and export regulations, including a basic understanding of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification, country-of-origin determination for imports, and general awareness of U.S. export control requirements.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Customs systems, including the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE), and the ability to run and interpret customs-related reports such as ES-003.
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting logistics or transportation data to enhance operational visibility and support informed decision-making.
  • Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role strongly preferred.
