Responsible for ensuring effective sales order management, vendor procurement and follow-up, export logistics coordination, and export documentation and regulatory reporting. Serves as the single point of contact for sales and customers to provide consistent, positive customer experiences. Responsible for initial order entry, facilitation of order changes and order fulfillment, sourcing of material from vendors. Coordinates with logistics providers to export product timely and prepare accurate export documentation. Empowered to make decisions on behalf of company in alignment with Univar strategy, guiding principles and customer satisfaction. Leads resolution of service issues that directly impact customer order fulfillment. Assists in earning "Customers for Life" through the establishment of positive customer relationships and satisfaction.  

 

What You'll Do:

  • Order Management: Receive and enter customer orders, verify pricing and credit terms, and confirm delivery expectations.
  • Vendor Coordination: Place purchase orders with vendors, track shipments, and communicate any delays. Send contracts to overseas vendors when needed.
  • Logistics Oversight: Coordinate transportation (inland, ocean, air) from vendors to warehouses or direct to customers.
  • Export Documentation: Prepare and issue invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and other required export documents. Handle regulatory filings (DEA, TSCA 12(b), export licenses).
  • Customer Experience: Resolve service issues, maintain accurate customer records, and ensure realistic commitments are met to build trust and loyalty.

What You'll Need:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (preferred in supply chain, logistics, international trade, or economics) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Preferred 3+ years in international trade operations, including import/export for North America. Experience with freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and export trading.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with ITAR/EAR regulations; certifications like CCS, CES, MES, or IATA are a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and organizational abilities
    • Excellent problem-solving and time management
    • Clear written and verbal communication in English
    • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
    • Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus
