Summary:
This position is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of a variety of production line equipment including CNC, mills, lathes and general facilities maintenance. Maintenance activities are carried out in a proactive manor, reducing equipment downtime by preventive and corrective maintenance. Facility systems include, but are not limited to the following: HVAC, plumbing, electrical (as allowed by applicable codes and/or incumbent licensing), and general building maintenance.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensures continued operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
  • Quickly responds to requests for machine repairs and adjustments
  • Reviews maintenance work instructions and modifies as needed
  • Checks stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt
  • Completes required paperwork, documenting repairs, parts and material usage at end of shift
  • Identifies work areas for potential accident and health hazards, such as toxic vapors and explosive gas-air mixtures, and help implement appropriate control measures, such as adjustments to ventilation systems
  • Checks that personal protective equipment, such as masks, respirators, protective eyewear, hardhats, fire retardant clothing and safety boots are being used in workplaces according to regulations.
  • General facilities maintenance may include: painting, basic plumbing and support of Continuous Improvement and Safety projects.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with EPA and OSHA standards and regulations.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for this position

Minimum required qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a trades curriculum at a recognized technical school is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in troubleshooting and maintaining manufacturing equipment including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic HVAC and plumbing systems

The ideal candidate possesses the following experience, skills, and abilities:
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment involving mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic hardware
  • Proven ability to operate manual and power driven tools and machine shop equipment
  • Able to read shop drawings
  • Exceptional problem solving and organizational ability
  • Self-directed and detail oriented
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft windows
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Strong customer-service orientation in responding to service requests

This position is eligible to earn a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
