Job Description:

SCOPE:Under general supervision, is responsible for maintaining safety in MRI environment while assessing patients and safety performing routine MRI procedures in accordance with prescribed safety procedure and protocols; ensures patient safety, technical quality and timely transfer of data; fabricates any necessary immobilization devices prior to scan as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Perform diagnostic MRI scans for routine radiologic exams.

2. Perform MRI scans for radiation treatment planning purposes.

3. Providing expert advice and building protocols

4. Transporting patients if no personnel is available.

5. Performs other related responsibilities as required and/or directed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of an AMA accredited program in radiologic technology.
  • 5 years experience as MRI Technologist.
  • Registered by ARRT with current License by the state of Louisiana
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
  • ARRT advanced MR certification
