The company designs and manufactures with proprietary engineering processes and extensive manufacturing capabilities, from five (5) locations worldwide. Primary Functions
Develop, implement and monitor operations strategies to align with business objectives. Manage budgets, optimize production processes and lead staff to meet customer requirements and company goals.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Maintain Safety Incidence Rate below 1.0.
  • Drive statistically significant performance improvements impacting quality, cost, schedule delivery, innovation, safety, morale, and sustainability.
  • Promote a culture of accountability to ensure adherence to manufacturing processes and company policies.
  • Plan, develop and implement lean initiatives to drive lower cost of operations across all product lines.
  • Participate in Monthly Business Reviews and Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning meetings and otherwise contribute to the evaluation of operations and development of operational strategy with the executive team.
  • Measure, analyze and report weekly manufacturing KPI/OEE performance. identify opportunities and risks and direct changes/actions to achieve business goals.
  • Oversee department cost center management, planning, systems and controls.
  • Direct the resolution of manufacturing problems to ensure customer satisfaction, minimum costs and prevent operational delays, without compromising safety.
  • Manage, mentor and coach direct and indirect reports as appropriate to build a culture of

accountability, brother's keeper, integrity, and alignment with the division leadership.
  • Work with other functional/departmental managers to understand needs of operational development, and to ensure they are fully informed of operational objectives, purposes, opportunities and risks.
  • Determine responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions, conduct performance reviews and provide applicable feedback to employees.
  • Partner with sales to understand customer expectations and resolve manufacturing quality deficiencies.
  • Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Company and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
  • Other duties as assigned

Key Qualifications
  • 10-15-years' experience in manufacturing leadership, to include 5-7 years in a manager role with strong technical background in shop floor operations, product flow and continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in medical plastics clean room manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated successful production and quality management experience.
  • Proactivity in identification and execution of manufacturing and personal improvements,
  • TQM & Teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Lean Manufacturing Principals - 5S, Gemba, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Kaizen, SMED, etc.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
  • Sitting at workstation approximately 85 percent of work time. Standing and walking approximately 15 percent of work time.
  • Must be able to travel 50% to 75% percent of work time.
  • Normal workstation office environment with computer equipment, fax machine, and files and shelves overhead and about work surface
  • Ability to work flexible hours or occasionally on weekends with short notice depending on customer deliverables.
