Job description

Who we are:

Accenture Song is the world's largest tech-powered creative group. Within Song, our Design & Digital Products practice helps iconic brands reinvent products, services, and spaces with the best of emerging technology to drive impact for end-users and for the business. From defining product strategy and designing digital and physical experiences, to building the AI-powered tools and design systems that support them, we do it all. With 70 Song Studios and 4,000+ designers and makers across 6 continents, you'll be joining a team working at the frontier of customer experience.

As part of the Design and Digital Products practice, we operate like a studio: small teams, high craft standards, and a direct line between design decisions and shipped products at scale. Our team includes specialists in Product Design, Product Management, Engineering, Experience Design, Immersive Experiences, and Content Design. We partner closely with colleagues across Accenture who bring deep expertise in capabilities, industries, accounts, and ecosystem partners. Together, we take on complex challenges with greater depth, speed, and rigor.
Who you are:

A Product Design Director who is ready to shape how the Design & Digital Products practice designs, delivers, and grows. As a senior member of the Product Design craft, you lead multiple teams across programs and accounts, ensuring work connects user needs and business strategy to create high quality, scalable product experiences. You set the bar for craft across engagements, develop Product Designers into stronger leaders, and bring a clear point of view on how product experiences should be designed and delivered. You embrace AI as a capability, helping teams integrate it into both the experiences they design and the way they work.
You are a confident client partner and team leader with deep experience managing senior stakeholder relationships. You set the bar for quality product design, develop the talent that delivers it, and form clear points of view that help our clients navigate shifting customer expectations and industry dynamics.
The work:

In this role you will have accountability across three dimensions:

  • Client Delivery:

    • Oversee multiple product design programs, providing strategic direction and quality oversight across leads and their teams while maintaining accountability for delivery health, team performance, and measurable outcomes in complex and ambiguous client environments.

    • Build and sustain senior client relationships, stepping in as the decisive voice on high-stakes engagements and establishing the trust that turns one project into a lasting partnership.

    • Ensure strategic recommendations become tangible through clear product visions, prototypes, and shipped experiences, leveraging AI to accelerate and enhance delivery.

    • Set direction while staying connected to the work, shaping product decisions and ensuring high quality design delivery across the full product lifecycle.

    • Create team cultures where practitioners have space to grow and leads can sharpen their leadership judgement and client relationship skills to step up as program owners.

  • Business Development:

    • Grow a pipeline of work by building strong client relationships, proactively connecting Song capabilities to client priorities, crafting compelling proposals to win work that inspires our designers and makes both Song and our clients famous to fuel future demand.

    • Develop thought leadership on the topics that matter most to clients, opening doors to new conversations, elevating our team's thinking, and positioning Song as a credible and compelling voice in the industry.

    • Contribute to evolving how we work by capturing and scaling new practices, especially how AI is reshaping product design workflows, delivery, and outcomes.

  • People & Practice Development:

    • Serve as a leader and mentor to our people, helping them navigate challenges, grow their craft, leadership skills, and client acumen.

    • Shape how the Product Design practice evolves by contributing to new ways of working, advancing our approach to AI enabled design, and strengthening our overall craft.

    • Build inclusive, high performing teams where designers are supported, challenged, and able to grow into stronger leaders over time.

Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

  • 10+ years of experience in Product Design, with a track record across varied industries, users, and business problems.

  • 5+ years leading product design programs end-to-end, with experience managing complexity, ambiguity, shifting scope and senior stakeholders. Having a strong executive presence and the ability to hold difficult conversations with senior client stakeholders to guide them to outcomes that strengthen the relationship while setting expectations that protect our delivery teams.

  • 5+ years directly managing or developing designers at a senior level, with demonstrated ability to grow practitioners into program owners and develop future leaders.

  • 5+ years leading business development by shaping proposals, scoping programs, and presenting to clients in a way that builds confidence and closes deals. Demonstrated ability to connect product design decisions to business outcomes and influence cross functional decision making.

Bonus points if you have:

  • You have helped shape a design practice or capability through hiring decisions, defining practice direction, or advancing craft standards.

  • You have experience contributing to practice level initiatives, including ways of working, craft assets, onboarding, or community forums.

  • Experience embedding AI tools and workflows into product design practices and helping teams adopt new ways of working.

  • You bring fluency in adjacent areas such as strategy, engineering, or data and AI, with the curiosity to learn and expand your skillset into new domains.

  • Experience working in management consulting or a professional services environment.

  • You contribute to external thought leadership, such as publishing POVs, speaking at events, or representing the practice in the broader design community.
