Job description

About Us:
At Read AI we're redefining how teams collaborate by bringing intelligence to every conversation. Our platform supercharges productivity across meetings, messages, and email, so work gets done faster, smarter, and with better focus. We integrate seamlessly with tools like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Slack, and more, helping teams stay aligned and move forward, whether they're in the same room or across time zones.
Backed by $82 million in funding from Smash Capital, Madrona, and Goodwater Capital, Read AI is growing. If you're excited to shape the future of AI-powered collaboration and want to make an impact at a product-focused startup, we'd love to meet you.
The Role:
We are seeking a highly analytical and experimental Director of User Acquisition to own and scale our paid growth engine. This role will lead end-to-end acquisition strategy across channels, with a strong emphasis on creative-driven performance marketing, rapid experimentation, and data-driven optimization.
What You'll Do:
  • Own and scale paid acquisition across channels (Meta, Google, emerging platforms), with clear accountability for CAC, ROAS, and revenue growth
  • Lead creative strategy as a core growth lever-drive high-volume testing, iteration, and optimization of ad creatives
  • Build and manage an in-house UA function, reducing reliance on agencies and increasing velocity of learning and execution
  • Develop and refine attribution models, incrementality testing, and performance measurement frameworks
  • Identify and unlock new acquisition channels (e.g., affiliate, TikTok, Snapchat)
  • Continuously test and optimize targeting, bidding, and campaign structures
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner closely with Product/Operations/Engineering teams to optimize landing pages and conversion funnels by channel
  • Ensure tight alignment between ad creative, messaging, and on-site experience to maximize conversion rates
  • Collaborate on experimentation roadmaps across acquisition and funnel optimization

What You'll Need:
  • Proven track record running and scaling paid acquisition (ideally hands-on experience across multiple apps or products)
  • Deep expertise in Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising; familiarity with other channels (Google, affiliate, etc.)
  • Strong analytical mindset-comfortable building attribution models and interpreting complex datasets
  • Demonstrated ability to lead creative-driven growth strategies (not just media buying)
  • "Growth hacker" mentality: highly experimental, innovative, and constantly testing new approaches
  • Experience managing high spend and scaling efficiently

What Success Looks Like:
  • Reduction in CAC and improvement in ROAS
  • Volume and success rate of creative testing (e.g., % of winning creatives)
  • Scalable acquisition growth across channels
  • Measurable improvements in conversion rates in partnership with Product/Operations/Engineering teams
