A Marine Engineer specializes in maintaining and repairing ship machinery, working primarily in engine rooms. The two roles overlap in certifications but differ in daily responsibilities and work environments, with Expedition Vessels emphasizing navigation and passenger safety, and Marine Engineers focusing on technical ship operations.
