Job description

Genesis Design Center - Senior Professional, Design Program Management
Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) which Genesis Design Center is part of, is currently looking for a Senior Professional, Design Program Managementat our El Segundo, CA facility who will:
  • Foster effective communication between relevant functions at Hyundai Motor Group headquarters in Korea and the U.S. Design Studio
  • Closely understand requirements and requests from global partner teams and clearly communicate them to designers
  • Actively support designers in identifying solutions that meet program, and development requirements
  • Coordinate and integrate input across NY Design program team.
  • Support alignment between design intent, development constraints, and executive-level expectations.
  • Manage the product budget with the expatriate and support them.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Manage end-to-end design projects throughout the mass-production vehicle development process
  • Establish, track, and coordinate design development timelines aligned with overall vehicle development schedules
  • Oversee and integrate design deliverables, issues, and key project updates across multiple programs
  • Coordinate agendas, materials, and content for design executive reviews and leadership reporting
  • Manage design-related materials and presentation assets for senior management communication
  • Identify and organize design issues requiring executive-level decision-making across projects
  • Support effective and timely design leadership decisions by providing clear options and recommendations
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth design project execution
  • Serve as a central point of contact for project-related design communication and coordination
  • To secure the product budget, communicate with the Namyang PM and plan the budget, drafting/submit the BUA.
  • Assist with executive travel support as needed

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
  • Educational Requirements:
    • Bachelor's Degree in art Design, Business
  • Related Industry Experience Requirements:
    • 7+ years of Program/Project Manager
    • 5+ years of Car industry experience
    • 3+ years of experience Art design
    • 1+ years of experience Finance
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Bilingual in English and Korean
