Assignment Description

The Client is seeking an experienced Application Service Manager consultant to support and enhance the operation and development of our ERP landscape. As a consultant, you will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure stable operations, efficient service delivery, and continuous improvement of business‑critical systems.

The role involves contributing to both day‑to‑day operations and ongoing initiatives, ensuring alignment with business needs and the overall system landscape. The consultant is expected to take a proactive approach, collaborate effectively with stakeholders, and support governance and change processes.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage the lifecycle of SAP applications, including maintenance, enhancements, and upgrades.
  • Plan and coordinate application‑related activities and ensure effective prioritisation of tasks.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to define and implement solutions.
  • Support delivery of initiatives and ensure alignment with agreed scope and timelines.
  • Contribute to operational support, including coordination of incidents, service requests, and follow‑up activities.
  • Support in maintaining roles and authorizations, ensuring appropriate access management and compliance with security requirements.
  • Participate in and support structured change governance processes, ensuring that changes are prepared, reviewed, and communicated effectively.
  • Ensure clear communication of system changes, releases, and updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure consistent and efficient service delivery.
  • Maintain visibility of activities, dependencies, and risks across the application landscape.
Qualifications
  • Relevant higher education within IT, business, or similar. Relevant experience may compensate for formal education.
  • Proven experience with SAP application management and understanding of key SAP modules.
  • Strong understanding of IT landscapes, including system integrations, dependencies, and end‑to‑end processes.
  • Ability to navigate complex system environments and understand how applications interact across the IT landscape.
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in complex environments with multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills in English and preferably Norwegian.
