Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Site Manager to oversee our ESS (Energy Storage System) battery storage yard.
The role is contract to hire after 90 days based on performance
This role is critical in ensuring the safe handling, storage, and transportation of specialized cargo (OOG).
The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between Headquarters (HQ) and field operations, ensuring all drivers and
contractors strictly adhere to established SOPs and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
  • Yard Management: Oversee daily operations at the Phoenix ESS storage yard and other designated origin yards.
  • OOG amp; Transportation Oversight: Manage the movement of Out-of-Gauge (OOG) cargo, ensuring proper handling and transportation procedures are followed.
  • Lashing amp; Securing: Apply technical knowledge of lashing and securing methods to ensure high-value ESS units are stabilized for transit.
  • Driver amp; Vendor Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for truck drivers; provide clear guidance on site rules and monitor compliance.
  • SOP amp; Rule Enforcement: Strictly implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) provided by HQ.
  • Digital Documentation: Utilize the company’s mobile application to capture and upload required photos and videos of cargo and operations for quality control.
  • Reporting: Provide daily operational reports to HQ to ensure real-time visibility of yard status.
Qualifications
  • Bilingual Proficiency : Preferred fluent in Spanish amp; English OR Korean amp; English.
  • Logistics Experience: Solid understanding of OOG operations and general transportation logistics.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with drivers and site personnel in a fast-paced environment.
