A Day in the LifeMedtronic Endoscopy is seeking a Senior Medical Education Curriculum Specialist to provide strategic leadership in the design and development of medical education curricula supporting our therapeutic portfolio. This senior level role is responsible for owning curriculum strategy, learning architecture, and content standards that enable healthcare professionals to safely and effectively adopt Medtronic endoscopy technologies.
Operating as a high impact individual contributor, the Senior Curriculum Specialist partners closely with Medical Affairs, global marketing, and other cross functional stakeholders to translate clinical evidence, procedural expertise, and product innovation into scalable, high quality learning programs delivered across live, virtual, and digital platforms. This role emphasizes curriculum strategy, instructional design excellence, and long term portfolio impact, rather than program logistics.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Serve as the curriculum owner for assigned endoscopy therapies and product portfolios.
  • Lead the design and evolution of structured learning pathways aligned to clinician experience levels, therapy adoption stages, and business priorities.
  • Define and maintain curriculum frameworks, learning objectives, and success metrics.
  • Develop multiyear curriculum roadmaps supporting product launches, new clinical evidence, and portfolio expansion.
  • Identify and prioritize education gaps using field insights, learner feedback, and performance data.
  • Influence education strategy through thought leadership and datadriven recommendations.
  • Lead development of standardized, reusable, and compliant medical education content, including:
    • Advanced clinical presentations and teaching materials
    • Casebased and scenariodriven learning modules
    • Faculty and facilitator guides
    • Digital, virtual, and blended learning assets
    • Microlearning and modular content
  • Translate complex endoscopic procedures, technologies, and clinical data into effective adultlearning experiences.
  • Establish content standards and best practices to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Review and elevate content developed by peers or partners to ensure quality and alignment.
  • Partner with digital, design, and multimedia teams to optimize learner engagement.
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, clinical experts, and physician faculty to develop and validate curriculum content.
  • Act as a curriculum subjectmatter expert for endoscopy education initiatives.
  • Influence crossfunctional stakeholders without direct authority to drive alignment and execution.
  • Support faculty development and consistency in educational delivery.
  • Evaluate curriculum effectiveness using learner feedback, outcomes data, and utilization metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement through content refreshes, innovation, and standardization.
  • Ensure all educational materials comply with Medtronic policies, regulatory requirements, and Medical Affairs governance.
  • Contribute to process improvement, templates, and playbooks that enhance efficiency across the education organization.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Nice to Have

Experience supporting physician engagement programs, medical education initiatives, or professional society partnerships
Prior experience in healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, or clinical research organizations
Experience with event logistics management, including conference coordination and meeting planning
Familiarity with grant management processes related to educational programs
Strong organizational and project coordination skills in a crossfunctional environment
Knowledge of compliance considerations related to healthcare professional interactions.

The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
