Civil Engineer - OCONUS

Exp Federal is an established full-service architectural and engineering firm that provides a full range of design solutions and construction support to the federal government. Our team of professionals operates in some of the most challenging environments to provide support services to a variety of governmental agencies globally.

The Challenge:

Exp Federal is accepting applications for exciting career opportunities overseas in conjunction with a contract supporting the U.S. Department of State. This position is on site in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo.


Principle Areas of Responsibility:

  • Understand, the layout, and size of fundamental systems: storm, sanitary, vent, water, and gas.
  • Review contractor submittals against specifications and respond to contractor Request for Information (RFIs).
  • Develop independent cost estimates both for the government as well as for internal proposal purposes.
  • Understand the scope of SD, DD, and CD level documents and be able to prepare and deliver drawings at the appropriate level

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s in engineering from an accredited American university or Professional Engineering License
  • 7+ years of experience in the commercial construction industry
  • Active Security Clearance from the US Federal Government. Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance


Salary Range:

This position has an annual range of $110,000.00 To $150,000.00. The actual hourly is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
