Job description


  • We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and focused technician to work at our digitally focused prosthodontic practice
  • Daily tasks involve case organization, prioritization, and follow through to finished products
  • Intra-oral scans are the primary means of digitization, but some traditional impressions will still be processed with traditional model work and workflow
  • Direct patient interaction for custom shade photography and realistic customization of restorations will be part of all cases (fixed and removable)
  • CAD Lab work will include design of models for printing, diagnostic (pre-treatment) planning wax-ups, Provisionals, try-ins, occlusal guards, implant abutments and superstructures, surgical guides, and denture tooth arrangements
  • Daily operation and maintenance of 3D printers, and other lab equipment as well as printing and finishing staining and glazing of all resin, acrylic and ceramic restorations

Requirements
  • Knowledgeable and skilled on DentalCAD software (ExoCAD) and familiar with all steps of data acquisition, processing, design, fabrication, and finishing, with proficiency with all stages
  • Experience on implant surgical guide software is a plus
  • Experience with acrylic and ceramic finishing/staining/glazing and polishing is a plus
  • Knowledge of all aspects of traditional denture laboratory processes is not required, but candidate must be able to perform simple removable laboratory procedures such as denture relines, repairs and fabrication of simple removable appliances
  • Possess a positive, upbeat disposition and be willing to work directly in a limited way with patients for photography, custom shading, intra-oral scanning, and try-ins.Any experience working in a dental clinic as a DA/RDA or Clinician is a plus
  • Eager to learn, clean, orderly and be able to work on and as part of a team, and under scheduled timelines, while still fitting in same-day work
