Description
EwingCole is a nationally recognized architecture, engineering, interior design and planning firm with offices across the country. Our multi-disciplinary practice is built on the core values of professional excellence, design quality and collaboration. We are seeking an ambitious Drexel 2+4 Intern to join our Philadelphia Office.
As part of the architecture discipline, the Drexel 2+4 Intern assists project teams at all stages of design and delivery, expanding their knowledge by contributing to projects at the direction of experienced architects and designers. This position assists through the generation of representational graphics, models, and drawings to support design presentations and the technical delivery of projects. The Drexel 2+4 Intern brings design talent, curiosity, and a desire to learn, contributing ideas and thoughtful solutions as a collaborative part of an interdisciplinary team. This person exhibits initiative while working under the guidance of experienced project leaders.
Essential Functions:
  • Documentation: Develops legible graphics utilizing appropriate software
  • Representational Skills: Effectively creates renderings and sketches to describe ideas
  • Building Technology: Actively acquires knowledge of technical terms and concepts
  • Project Delivery: Supports the project team in the delivery of project documentation
  • Codes and Accessibility: Actively acquires an understanding of code and accessibility requirements
  • Quality Standards: Actively acquires knowledge of production and delivery standards
  • Site Planning: Applies foundational understanding of site planning concepts
  • Sustainability: Approaches projects with the understanding of sustainable concepts

Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in Drexel University Bachelor of Architecture program; 2 years completed
  • Prior summer internships preferred
