Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be a pivotal member of our cardiac team, performing crucial diagnostic testing to accurately diagnose and guide the treatment of patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.
Every day, you will apply your independent judgment and advanced technical skills to perform state-of-the-art imaging procedures for patients presenting with conditions such as heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, and acute myocardial infarction, supporting decisions from minimally invasive interventions to major structural repairs.
To be successful in this role, you must possess a solid understanding of echocardiography imaging equipment, master proper patient positioning techniques, and expertly produce and analyze high-quality cardiac ultrasound images. Above all, you will continuously strive to deliver an exceptional and positive experience to our patients and their caregivers.

Performs various diagnostic cardiology or peripheral vascular exams including but not limited to:

  • Corroborates clinical history and assesses patient for appropriateness of ordered procedure.
  • Provides patient education, applies patient relations skills and maintains confidentiality of patients and customers in a safe and professional manner.
  • Assumes responsibility for assigned area, reporting equipment malfunctions and procedure difficulties.
  • Is responsible for completing quarterly mandatory education requirements.
  • Assumes responsibility for personal and professional development through participation in department meetings, in-service programs, and continuing education programs.
Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent clinical job training, upon hire
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, within 12 - months or
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, within 12 - months and
  • Registered Vascular Technologist, within 12 - months or
  • Registered Vascular Specialist, within 12 - months and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days
