Expected pay for this position is $23.58 - $27.75/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: Provides medically prescribed exercise therapy for patients demonstrating multiple system disease states determined through assessment of patient's clinical status and based on guidelines provided by ACSM and AACVPR. Interprets the patient's exercise program data and directs patient's activity/exercise by ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the patient's clinical status through assessment of heart rate and rhythm, blood pressure, blood sugar, peripheral capillary oxygen saturation, and/or rated perceived exertion. Recommends exercise/activity progression and maintains on-going communication with the cardiac rehab team members.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree, B.S. Exercise Physiology, Health Science, Kinesiology or Sports Medicine
Licensure/ Certification:
  • BLS Certified
  • ACLS Certification (Completion required within the first 6 months)
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
  • EKG Interpretation Skills (Completion of EKG Interpretation training through OSF required withing 1st 6 months)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
  • M.S. Exercise Physiology or Health Science
Experience:
  • 1 year experience as an Exercise Physiologist in a Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehab setting.
  • Experience with cardiac and pulmonary patient management
