GTI designs and manufactures modular energy infrastructure supporting battery energy storage, power generation, and modular data centers. Our BESS platforms integrate battery systems, inverters, transformers, protection devices, and monitoring systems into factory-built modular power systems deployed for utility-scale and commercial energy storage applications.

Position Overview
GTI is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical architecture and schematic development of modular Battery Energy Storage Systems. This role designs electrical distribution, protection schemes, control systems, and equipment interfaces that integrate battery modules, PCS inverters, transformers, switchgear, and monitoring systems.

Key Responsibilities
ย โ€ข Design electrical architectures for BESS platforms including AC and DC power distribution systems
ย โ€ข Develop single line diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics, and cable schedules
ย โ€ข Integrate battery systems, battery management systems (BMS), PCS inverters, transformers, and switchgear
ย โ€ข Define grounding strategies, protection schemes, and isolation methods for high-power systems
ย โ€ข Support designs aligned with UL 9540 energy storage system certification frameworks
ย โ€ข Develop monitoring, alarm, and shutdown logic supporting safe battery operation
ย โ€ข Coordinate electrical design with mechanical layouts and enclosure constraints
ย โ€ข Support commissioning, FAT testing, and troubleshooting of energy storage systems
ย โ€ข Identify electrical risks including fault current, protection coordination, and thermal impacts
ย โ€ข Develop production-ready electrical documentation supporting manufacturing and integration

Required Qualifications
ย โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Electrical Engineering
ย โ€ข 8+ years of experience designing industrial electrical systems or power infrastructure
ย โ€ข Experience with power distribution, protection systems, and electrical schematics
ย โ€ข Experience integrating inverters, transformers, switchgear, or energy storage equipment
ย โ€ข Strong documentation discipline supporting production engineering environments

Preferred Qualifications
ย โ€ข Experience with battery energy storage systems or microgrid power systems
ย โ€ข Familiarity with UL 9540, UL 1741, and energy storage safety frameworks
ย โ€ข Experience integrating SCADA, EMS, or energy monitoring systems
