Job description

Job Title: Operations Process Analyst

Location: Monroe, Washington

ABOUT US

Card Kingdom has served Magic: The Gathering players across the world for over 20 years. We are a trusted source for buying and selling Magic: The Gathering singles, packs, and booster boxes from throughout the game's history. Our love of the community and game shines through everything we do. We are a customer-centric, data-driven, innovative workplace. We value our team and recognize that every role in our organization is behind delivering our renowned customer experience.

In addition to our eCommerce business, Card Kingdom owns and operates the award-winning game store and restaurant, Mox Boarding House. With unique locations in Seattle, Bellevue, Portland, and coming soon to Arizona, we deliver an elevated experience to local gaming communities.

Our Mission: We use tabletop gaming as a campfire – a place to gather, share and celebrate –for the sake of cultivating deeper relationships with our customers, amongst ourselves, with our communities, and the world.

Our Benefits: Excellent benefits, generous PTO, and flexible scheduling, remote work opportunities, paid parental leave, safe harbor 401k match, paid holidays and employee discounts. We are a family friendly culture that supports work life balance.

Role:

The Operations Process Analyst plays a key role in improving the consistency, efficiency, and measurability of Card Kingdom’s operational processes. This role owns the systems and methods we rely on to document how work gets done, understand how long it takes, and plan for the people we need to do it. The right candidate is comfortable on the floor as much as at a desk — someone who learns by observing, asks sharp questions, and translates what they find into clear standards and actionable data.

Responsibilities:

Process Documentation & Standards

  • Assist in managing and executing the Document Management System for Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring SOPs are current, accessible, and consistently formatted.
  • Partner with Operational Managers to write, revise, and retire SOPs as processes evolve.
  • Conduct regular process audits to verify adherence to documented standards and identify gaps.

Time & Motion Studies / Labor Standards

  • Design and execute time and motion studies across card operations workflows.
  • Develop and maintain labor standards based on observed and measured performance data.
  • Translate standards into actionable benchmarks for Managers and Supervisors.

Labor & Headcount Planning

  • Build and maintain the Operations teams labor models that connect volume forecasts to headcount and shift requirements.
  • Support headcount planning cycles with data-backed recommendations for staffing levels.
  • Identify capacity constraints or surplus early, giving management actionable insight to adjust.

Analysis & Cross-Functional Support

  • Perform ad hoc business and operational analysis as prioritized by the Business Operations team.
  • Collaborate across departments to gather process input, share findings, and drive adoption of changes.

Qualifications:

Required

  • 2–4 years of experience in an operations, industrial engineering, or process improvement role — ideally in a warehouse, fulfillment, or manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience conducting time and motion studies or developing labor standards
  • Experience writing, managing, or auditing SOPs in an operational setting
  • Ability to build labor or staffing models in Excel; comfortable working with large, complex datasets
  • Experience with SQL and data modeling for pulling and validating operational data
  • Strong communication skills — able to translate technical findings into clear language for non-technical stakeholders
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or comparable process improvement background (formal certification not required)

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Experience with SharePoint for document management
  • Background in volume-based capacity planning

Location / Work Schedule

  • Monroe, Washington
  • Hybrid / 3 days a week on site

Job Type / Salary

  • Full Time
  • Non-exempt: $78,000 – $98,000 depending on qualifications and experience

Benefits:

  • Paid Time Off: 5 weeks accrued per year, 8 Company Holidays
  • Health Benefits: Zero cost premium options for Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance
  • Retirement: 401(k) with 4% Safe Harbor match, no vesting period
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Flexible Spending Accounts & Health Savings Accounts
  • Pre-Tax Commuter Benefits
  • Supplemental Life and AD&D Insurance
  • Accident, Critical Illness & Hospital Confinement Plans
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Employee Discount

Equal Opportunity Employment:

We are committed to cultivating a workplace in which diverse perspectives and experiences are welcomed and respected. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, ancestry, national origin, sex, age, disability (physical or mental), marital or veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, political ideology, or membership in any other legally protected class.
