Are you an experienced veterinarian looking to make a broader impact? Western Veterinary Partners is seeking a collaborative and visionary Medical Director to provide clinical leadership across two well-established small animal hospitals in Miami, Florida—Sunset Animal Clinic and Hammocks Veterinary Hospital.

This unique dual-site leadership opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys mentoring teams, practicing high-quality medicine, driving hospital growth, and building strong relationships with clients and staff. You'll partner closely with hospital leadership to establish medical excellence across both locations while continuing to practice medicine in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Sunset Animal Clinic

Serving the Miami community since 1970, Sunset Animal Clinic is a trusted small animal practice dedicated to personalized, evidence-based medicine. The hospital offers preventive care, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and internal medicine while maintaining a loyal client base and a collaborative team culture.

Hammocks Veterinary Hospital

Since 1989, Hammocks Veterinary Hospital has provided comprehensive veterinary care through wellness services, advanced diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and medical case management. The hospital serves a diverse client population, making bilingual (English/Spanish) communication highly valued.

Together, these hospitals provide an exciting opportunity to lead two established practices with complementary teams, diverse caseloads, and strong growth potential.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) from an accredited veterinary school
  • Active (or eligible) Florida veterinary license
  • 5+ years of small animal clinical experience preferred
  • Previous Medical Director or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong communication, mentorship, and leadership skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
  • Passion for progressive medicine, coaching others, and building high-performing teams

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
