Job description

VDC Detailer
What we are looking for:
Aldridge is seeking a VDC Detailer to join our dynamic and energetic team. This role is responsible for producing fabrication spool drawings, detailed rack drawings, CAD as-builts and CAD files for our CNC machine.
What you'll do:
  • Create files in BobCad for the CNC machines
  • Create underground spacers for underground conduit packages
  • As-built drawings from project teams
  • Create cut lists for steel products
  • Design rack drawings
  • Be involved in project builds
  • Attend meetings with PreFab group and project teams
  • Produce fabrication spool drawings
  • Utilize BIM software to model electrical systems
  • Read job specifications and drawings

Who you are:
  • Excellent communication skills and work attitude
  • Team player, relates well with employees and superiors
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must have good organization skills and time management skills
  • Be able to put in the time and effort necessary
  • Should be open-minded and decisive with problem solving skills
  • Self-driven with desire to learn
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Familiarity with Excel, Word, and Google platforms
  • Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks or any other BIM software (preferred)

What we offer:
The annual base pay for this role is between $60,000 - $80,000. The actual pay is dependent upon many factors, including: location, work experience, education, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market conditions. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for a bonus. Aldridge provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes the following:
