Ventus Executive Solutions is seeking askilled Human Resources Specialistsupporting the team with an array of projects, including career development, performance management, bonus analysis, compensation analysis, and ESOP education and administration. This role will be one of the team members responsible for the administration and education of an ESOP with collaboration across the HR team, as well communications, finance/payroll, and ESOP plan participants, ensuring employees understand their ownership benefits while working with the HR Director in complying with regulatory standards. The HR/ESOP Coordinator plays a vital role in executing the internal administration of the company's Employee Stock Ownership Plan. You will be part of a team responsible for ESOP participant education, collection of participant data, assisting with distributions, and fostering a strong "ownership culture" across the organization.

Work Location: Local to Washington, DC

Part-Time: approximately 15 hours per week

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred, equivalent practical experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting a variety of HR responsibilities including employee engagement, career development, talent management, compensation analysis, or retirement plan administration in a professional environment.
  • Strong analytical and organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage confidential employee and participant information with discretion, accuracy, and sound judgment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage recurring deadlines, track detailed information, and follow through on multiple projects independently.
  • Comfort working with data, reports, spreadsheets, and employee records
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain ESOP, benefits, compensation, and other HR-related topics in a practical and employee-friendly way.
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across HR, finance/payroll, communications, third-party administrators, advisors, and employees at all levels.
  • Interest in employee ownership and willingness to help promote an ownership culture through education, communication, and engagement activities.
  • Familiarity with ERISA regulations and/or qualified retirement plans.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and MATLAB.

Desired Experience:

  • Previous experience in an ESOP-owned company or third-party retirement plan administration.
  • Familiarity with software systems, payroll systems or HRIS platforms (e.g. Rippling)
  • Experience with 401(k) plans, qualified retirement plans, or third party/vendor coordination.

The expected salary range for this position is $36- $45/hour. This rangerepresentsagood-faithestimate and is not a guarantee; final compensation isdeterminedby factors such as experience, qualifications, and government contract labor rate requirements and may fall outside the stated range. In addition to base pay, Ventus offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), ESOP participation, retirement plans, and generous paid time off.
