THE WORK
As a Continuous Improvement Project Lead within Sikorsky Assembly and Flight Operations, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Your primary responsibility will be to identify, lead, and execute high-impact initiatives that enhance productivity, streamline processes, and improve quality across our manufacturing and assembly operations.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement data-driven solutions that align with organizational goals. You will leverage Lean, Six Sigma, and other industry best practices to develop and execute strategies that deliver measurable results.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and managing continuous improvement projects from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
Conducting in-depth process analyses to identify opportunities for cost reduction, waste elimination, and operational efficiency.
Facilitating cross-functional collaboration to drive process standardization and best practice sharing across Assembly and Flight Operations.
Monitoring and reporting on project progress, key performance indicators, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership.
Driving a data-driven approach to problem-solving, utilizing tools such as value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and statistical process control.
