What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Executive Server, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Executive Server, you need extensive knowledge of fine dining service protocols, menu offerings, and food and beverage pairings, often supported by prior hospitality experience or training. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, reservation management software, and sometimes food safety certifications is typically required. Exceptional communication, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate guest needs set standout Executive Servers apart.
