Job description

Packaging Industry B2B Sales

We're looking for a driven, commercially-minded Packaging Sales Executive to grow our client base and drive revenue across industrial, retail, and specialty packaging solutions. You'll own the full sales cycle — from prospecting to close — and serve as a trusted advisor to manufacturing, e-commerce, and distribution clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Prospect, develop, and close new business across assigned territory or vertical markets
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through cold outreach, referrals, trade shows, and inbound leads
  • Manage relationships with existing accounts to maximize retention, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities
  • Present custom packaging solutions to procurement, operations, and C-suite stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal estimating, design, and operations teams to craft winning proposals
  • Accurately forecast monthly and quarterly sales activity in CRM (Salesforce or equivalent)
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing to refine go-to-market approach
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms in line with company margins and policy
  • Meet or exceed assigned annual revenue quota and new account acquisition targets

Requirements

  • 3–7 years B2B field sales experience, ideally in packaging, print, or industrial supply
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota
  • Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills
  • Ability to read technical specs and translate them to customer value
  • Proficient with CRM tools and sales reporting
  • Valid driver's license
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience selling corrugated, flexible, fulfillment, or rigid packaging formats
  • Familiarity with print specifications (flexo, offset, roto, digital)
  • Existing book of business or established relationships in target verticals
  • Experience with value-based and solution-selling methodologies (SPIN, Challenger, etc.)
  • Knowledge of supply chain or contract manufacturing environments
