Job description

Exciting Opportunity!

Our client is looking for a Customer Service / Executive Operations Assistant to support the Operations of their Salt Lake City facility

Position: Customer Service / Executive Operations Assistant

Location: On-Site - Salt Lake City, Utah

Compensation: $52,000โ€“$62,000 annually (DOE) + Comprehensive Benefits

About Our Client

Our client has been serving Utahโ€™s commercial cleaning industry for nearly 40 years and has grown into one of the stateโ€™s leading distributors of commercial janitorial equipment, chemicals, cleaning supplies, and facility maintenance solutions. With approximately $25 million in annual revenue and a team of experienced outside sales professionals covering the entire state, they have built a reputation for exceptional customer service, technical expertise, and long-term customer relationships.

This position is far more than a traditional front counter role. It is an opportunity to become an integral member of the branch operations team while learning every aspect of a growing business.

Position Overview

Weโ€™re looking for someone who enjoys learning, solving problems, and taking on new responsibilities. Initially, youโ€™ll become one the faces of the branch by assisting commercial customers, supporting our outside sales team, processing orders, and ensuring customers receive the right products for their business. As you grow into the role, youโ€™ll have the opportunity to learn purchasing, vendor coordination, inventory support, research projects, reporting, and additional operational responsibilities. The leadership team is intentionally looking for someone they can invest in over the long term.

If youโ€™re the type of person who enjoys asking, โ€œWhat else can I help with?โ€ then we want to hear from you today!

Veterans Welcome!

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist commercial customers at the branch showroom and service counter
  • Recommend products and solutions based on customer needs
  • Process customer orders accurately

  • Maintain accurate spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Excel
  • Support inventory and branch operations
  • Perform additional operational projects as assigned

What Weโ€™re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is motivated by growthโ€”not someone looking to simply perform the same tasks every day.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Enjoy learning new responsibilities
  • Take pride in solving problems
  • Be comfortable working directly with customers
  • Have strong organizational skills
  • Be dependable and self-motivated
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Be excited by opportunities to take on additional responsibility over time

Preferred Experience

  • Customer service in a B2B, industrial, distribution, automotive, equipment rental, or supply environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel experience
  • Experience working within an ERP system preferred
  • Purchasing or vendor coordination experience is a plus
  • Inventory or warehouse coordination experience is a plus

  • Enterprise Truck Rental Management Trainee
  • Industrial Supply Customer Service Representative
  • Grainger Customer Service Representative
  • Fastenal Sales Support Representative
  • Ferguson Counter Sales Representative
  • Equipment Rental Coordinator
  • Operations Coordinator
  • Branch Support Specialist

Why This Opportunity Is Different

This is not a dead-end customer service position. Leadership wants someone who is eager to grow into additional operational responsibilities over time. Youโ€™ll work closely with experienced leadership, gain exposure to multiple areas of the business, and have opportunities to continually expand your knowledge and responsibilities.

If youโ€™re someone who enjoys learning new systems, taking initiative, and becoming an indispensable member of a team, weโ€™d love to speak with you.

  • Health Insurance
  • Dental Insurance
  • 401(k) with Company Match
