The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting, experience with nonprofit organizations, and the ability to support multiple client engagements. • Familiarity with fund accounting concepts (restricted vs. unrestricted funds, grants, donor reporting)
  • Experience working in accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Blackbaud Financial Edge and Raisers Edge, QuickBooks, Bill.com, Expensify, Concur, ADP, and/or Gusto

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial reports for internal use and client stakeholders
  • Support year-end processes, including audit preparation and coordinating requests with auditors
  • Assist with process improvements and help implement best practices across client engagements
  • Work within accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Intacct) and support data accuracy and reporting needs
  • Communicate with clients to gather information, resolve basic issues, and provide status updates

Supervisory / Leadership Elements:
  • Review work of junior staff and provide guidance and feedback
  • Help manage timelines, deliverables, and priorities across engagements
  • Escalate complex accounting or client issues to Manager/Director level
  • Support onboarding of new clients and junior team members

Nice to Have:
  • CPA (active or in progress)
  • Public accounting or outsourced accounting experience
  • Experience with nonprofit audits or Form 990 support (in coordination with tax)
  • AICPA Not-for-Profit Certificate

What you get:

Who is successful at BPM:
• Caring people who put others first
• Self-starters who embody the BPM entrepreneurial spirit
