Job Overview

The EPD will play a valuable part in supporting and providing safe executive travel for a Senior Executive and Family. The EPD will also provide security risk assessments for the Senior Executive, that includes, home intrusion detection system reviews and report findings. This role is for full-time employment and may require long hours and weekends. The Senior Executive travels frequently and therefore the EPD will assist with other aspects of the Corporate Executive Protection Program.

What You'll Do

  • Safely transport Senior Executive, family, and guests to and from destinations, including offices, appointments, meetings, airports, events, etc.

  • Provide close protection and other security-related functions, as needed

  • Conduct thorough advance planning to identify potential threats or obstacles affecting the Senior Executive's drive schedule

  • Oversee the vehicle maintenance, vehicle insurance, garage, regulations, and records of services are kept up to date

  • Conduct continuous threat assessments for proactive risk management

  • Provide protection services for corporate on-site and local off-site events for the Senior Executive, and other company officials

  • Work closely with executive support staff to obtain daily schedule, executive trips, meetings, and other off-site events to plan protective and transportation strategies

  • Assist in managing and monitoring ongoing risks which may impact the security of the Senior Executive and the organization

  • Establish relationships with local law enforcement and other appropriate Agencies to receive and relay crime, safety, and other information that supports the general security of the Senior Executive

  • Flexibility with hours; available to work on short notice, when needed

  • Run errands, general maintenance, and carry out special requests

  • Extensive knowledge of Southern Florida, including public and private airports

  • Assist in updating standard operating procedures to support the growing executive protection function

  • Other security related duties as assigned for CEO, company executives and or operating companies

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a Law Enforcement capacity preferred, with at least 3 years of experience driving/providing executive protection for C-Suite Executives, high level government officials or Foreign Dignitaries

  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, Security Management, Safety, or related field preferred

  • Must have concealed carry credentials

  • Must possess a clean and current Driver's License

  • Trained in evasive driving techniques, preferable

  • Experience in the collection and analysis of threat intelligence preferred

  • Will maintain a high level of confidentiality with regards to Corporate Executives to include family contact information, residence locations, and residence security systems

  • Flexible schedule, ability to work early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed with little notice

  • Must present a positive demeanor with an ability to interact and relate well with both external and internal contacts at all levels, up to and including Executives, VIPs, Board Members and Family Members

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound decision-making, and attention to detail are critical

  • Must have strong problem-solving skills with an ability to pivot quickly with excellent results

  • Basic First Aid knowledge - CPR and AED

  • Must be able to travel domestically
