Sunset Woods Assisted Living is seeking an Operations Manager to join our community!
We are looking for a motivated, compassionate, and service-focused leader to support the daily operations of our assisted living community. This role partners closely with the Executive Director to create and maintain a welcoming, home-like environment where residents thrive, employees feel valued, and exceptional service remains the top priority.
The Operations Manager plays a key leadership role in supporting resident satisfaction, team development, regulatory compliance, staffing, customer service, and overall community operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong teams, developing employees, solving problems, and making a meaningful impact every day.

What You'll Do:
  • Partner with the Executive Director to oversee daily community operations and resident services.
  • Foster a positive, resident-centered culture focused on exceptional customer service and quality care.
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, employees, and community partners.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and retention initiatives.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet resident needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and motivate team members through communication, accountability, recognition, and professional development.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to resident, family, and employee concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with Resident Rights, HIPAA requirements, company policies, and state regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Wellness and Marketing teams to support resident admissions and occupancy goals.
  • Participate in customer service planning meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee the maintenance, safety, appearance, and security of the community.
  • Support achievement of budget, resident satisfaction, census, wellness, and employee retention goals.
  • Promote collaboration and teamwork across all departments.
  • Serve as the acting community leader in the absence of the Executive Director.

What We're Looking For:
  • Leadership experience in assisted living, senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with residents, families, employees, and community partners.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

  • Knowledge of assisted living operations and regulations preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must meet all education and qualification requirements established by state assisted living regulations.
  • Must meet age requirements according to facility policy and state regulations.
  • Must possess, or be willing to obtain, Assisted Living Executive Director certification within required state timeframes.
  • Must successfully complete all required background checks, health screenings, and drug testing requirements.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
