Job description

Staff Executive Operations Manager Lead initiatives to streamline operational processes across the System Design and Mission Assurance team.

Location: Foster City, California, United States

Compensation range: $193,000 - $243,000 USD per year.

About the Role

As the Staff Executive Operations Manager of the System Design and Mission Assurance team you will be a key advisor and strategic partner to the Senior Director, influencing departmental strategies, implementing strategic initiatives and leading organizational efficiencies. You will be a trusted advisor, and at times represent the Senior Director in leadership meetings or within designated functional areas.

In this role you will:
  • Serve as a key advisor and strategic partner to the Senior Director, providing insights that influence departmental strategies, co-leading their implementation, and leading various business initiatives.
  • Act as an extension of the Senior Director when designated and serve as a mentor to junior members of the leadership team and potentially manage direct reports.
  • Review work streams and processes to identify operational needs and inefficiencies, and develop and implement necessary improvements.
  • Lead cross-functional programs to achieve strategic goals, enhance operational efficiencies, establish processes, and develop key supporting assets.
  • Identify areas for operational improvement, lead efforts to streamline processes, manage key projects, and facilitate communication and collaboration across the organization.
  • Understand or strive to learn the technical concepts, architecture, and systems development methods associated with the Zoox SDMA team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline and at least 7 years of relevant experience in AV, EV, or related industry preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience leading technical teams.
  • Experience engaging and collaborating with C-Suite executives.
  • Highly organized and excellent attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and workflows on deadline.
  • Strong track‑record managing complex cross‑functional projects with strong knowledge in system safety and/or systems engineering processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
Bonus Qualifications
  • Working experience in automotive industry or the autonomous driving technology industry
  • Experience with safety critical systems
Compensation Details

The pay range for this position is $193,000 to $243,000. Additional compensation may include a sign‑on bonus, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. Compensation varies based on geographic location and level, and the level placement is determined by a range of factors including experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance.
