Executive Director – Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO)

The Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO), the largest scientific society in the world devoted to the aquatic sciences, seeks an experienced, energetic Executive Director to lead the organization and advance its mission through ASLO's publications, conferences, and professional development programs. Reporting to the Board of Directors and working closely with the Board President, the Executive Director serves as ASLO's chief staff officer, with oversight of staff, partnerships, programs, and finances, including a $2.5 million annual operating budget. The successful candidate will have 5–10+ years of senior leadership experience in scientific society or association management, with a proven record in revenue growth, fiscal management, and building strategic partnerships. A bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree and CAE credential are preferred.
