Who We Are
Tomorrow's most advanced automotive technology is being envisioned today at MOBIS Parts America (MPA). A subsidiary of Hyundai MOBIS, we are a top leading automotive parts supplier. MPA provides after-sales service parts support for Hyundai Motors, Kia Motors, and Genesis. In addition to the distribution of genuine service parts, the MPA Accessories division develops accessories for Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis - which are installed on new vehicles in the United States and Canada.
Description
The Supervisor of Strategy & Planning will enhance the delivery of executive insights by conducting a comprehensive analysis of the MPA's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and providing an in-depth overview report of the current dynamics for the executive management team. Develop and articulate strategic tactics and initiatives to address both external and internal challenges, offering best-practice alternatives aimed at optimizing market position and elevating profitability.
Other responsibilities include: facilitating seamless project communication between MHQ and MPA, fostering collaboration among MPA departments and coordinating with counterparts at the HQ; Taking a leadership role in supervising team members, empowering them to proactively identify problems and opportunities. Implementing consultative corrective actions to guide the executive team in navigating and resolving concerns and issues effectively.
Leveraging a robust background in research and problem-solving, demonstrating the ability to adapt swiftly to unforeseen challenges. The goal is not only to present valuable insights but also to actively contribute to strategic decision-making, promoting an agile and resilient approach in the face of the ever-changing business landscape.
Key Responsibilities
  • Business Planning: Play a pivotal role in crafting the Mid/Long Term Plan, with a particular focus on monitoring and analyzing Parts + Accessory sales plans. Actively contribute to the formulation and implementation of the CEO/HQ's business direction. (25%)
  • Executive Performance Review: Drive monthly plan follow-ups, overseeing the collection of KPI progress from all departments and synthesizing the data for managerial reporting. Maintain and update the master KPI file, culminating in the creation of a comprehensive executive report for HQ on a monthly basis. (25%)
  • HQ Communication/Ad Hoc Responsibilities: Maintaining effective communication with HQ, handling ad hoc tasks and ensuring a seamless flow of information. (20%)
  • Market Research: Spearhead the creation of a Corporate Strategy Report encompassing both Sales and Operations. Stay abreast of industry news, conduct thorough automotive market research, and benchmark against other OEMs to generate a comprehensive report. (20%)
  • Project Management: Efficiently manage designated projects, accounting for 10% of your responsibilities, ensuring their seamless execution and timely completion. (10%)

  • Corporate strategy report for both Sales & Operation (Monthly)
  • Industry news monitoring/report (Weekly}OEM Benchmark Report Including NAPB (Quarterly}
  • PMSI/KMC TFT tracking (Monthly)
  • CEO KPI Binder creating (Monthly)
  • Provide ad hoc reports and presentations upon requests from management

Work Schedule & Travel Requirements
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.

Required Qualifications
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Economics, Statistics or other related subject is required.

Experience Requirements
  • 6-8 years of automotive industry experience is required.
  • 2-4 years in supervisor role
  • 2-4 years relevant work experience in consulting companies, market research institutes, or automotive after sales industry at OEM (original equipment manufacturer) and /or independent aftermarket

Skills
  • Use of intermediate software packages (Word, Excel, PPT, Access), SQL skills plus.
  • Deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

Compensation - Annual Salary , $71,896.32 - 106,406.56
