Attorney – Paisley ParkLocation: Chanhassen, Minnesota Position Type: Full-TimeWe are seeking an experienced Attorney to provide strategic legal guidance across a dynamic range of business, intellectual property, entertainment, operational, and compliance matters.About Paisley ParkPaisley Park is the iconic creative sanctuary established by Prince and continues to serve as a museum, entertainment destination, event venue, and steward of his enduring legacy.Position SummaryThe Attorney will serve as a key legal advisor to Paisley Park leadership, supporting day-to-day business operations while helping protect and advance the organization's interests. This role requires a practical, business-minded legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively balance risk management with operational objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide legal counsel on contracts, business transactions, partnerships, sponsorships, licensing agreements, and vendor relationships.Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide variety of commercial agreements.Advise on intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, licensing, and brand protection.Support museum, entertainment, event, retail, hospitality, and digital business operations.Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.Manage and coordinate outside counsel when necessary.Develop and maintain internal policies, procedures, and governance documentation.Advise leadership on employment-related legal matters and organizational risk management.Monitor legal developments affecting the entertainment, tourism, hospitality, and nonprofit sectors.Assist with dispute resolution, claims management, and litigation oversight.QualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Active license and good standing to practice law in the state of Minnesota.Minimum 5–8 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in entertainment, intellectual property, corporate, business, or commercial law.Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.Knowledge of intellectual property law and brand protection strategies.Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a variety of legal areasProven ability to independently exercise sound judgment and discretion.Experience supporting executive leadership and cross-functional teams.Preferred QualificationsExperience in entertainment, music, media, hospitality, tourism, or cultural institutions.Familiarity with trademark and copyright law is preferredIn-house counsel experience preferred, including experience in supervising and collaborating with outside counsel.Passion for preserving and advancing cultural and artistic legacies.What We OfferOpportunity to contribute to one of the most recognized and influential cultural destinations in the world.Collaborative and mission-driven work environment.Competitive compensation and benefits package.Meaningful work supporting the preservation and growth of Prince's legacy.
