Hertz Car Sales is transforming how consumers buy used vehicles — offering confidence, quality, and convenience backed by one of the world's most trusted mobility brands. As part of this evolution, we’re seeking a Senior Director, Marketing to lead the strategy, integration, and performance of all marketing functions supporting the Hertz Car Sales business.

Starting salary is $195K; commensurate with experience.

A Day in Life

This executive will oversee three direct reports overseeing the following core functions:

  • Integrated Marketing Programs: Leading brand strategy, creative development, content, organic social and influencer programs.
  • Growth Marketing & Analytics: Driving digital and direct-to-consumer acquisition, performance, marketing, and measurement.
  • Customer Lifecycle & CRM: Building personalized, data-driven communication programs that nurture leads, accelerate purchase, and strengthen loyalty
What You’ll Do

The ideal candidate will be both a visionary and strategic architect while also being a hands‑on, operational leader. They’ll be capable of aligning creative storytelling, performance marketing, and data‑driven insights into a unified growth engine. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer for Hertz Car Sales, this role will play a pivotal part in defining and scaling how Hertz competes in the used car marketplace.

Scope of Responsibilities Include
  • Lead and unify strategy across Growth Marketing, CRM, and Brand/Creative to deliver consistent, high‑performing marketing programs.
  • Translate business goals into integrated marketing plans that drive awareness, traffic, lead generation, and sales conversion.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop three direct reports (Director of Growth Marketing, Director of Marketing Programs, and Sr. Manager of CRM & Lifecycle), fostering collaboration and excellence across the team and cross‑functionally with Operations, Product, Communications, and Hertz Brand and Rental Car Marketing.
  • Serve as the connective tissue between marketing, retail operations, analytics, and technology to ensure alignment and transparency of results.
  • Guide paid media, SEM, SEO, paid social, display, CTV, and affiliate marketing strategies to drive efficiency and profitable demand.
  • Accelerate advance measurement capabilities building a robust test‑and‑learn framework, attribution modeling, and channel‑level ROI reporting.
  • Forecast and track performance against key metrics (traffic, leads, conversion, revenue, profit), leveraging support from Analytics and Finance.
  • Champion innovation in digital channels, AI search, and performance optimization.
  • Oversee customer journey mapping, segmentation, and data‑driven communication programs that improve lead nurture and customer retention.
  • Ensure the use of CRM and marketing automation tools to deliver personalized, timely messaging across email, SMS, and app channels.
  • Integrate rental and sales customer data to enable cross‑brand engagement and audience enrichment.
  • Collaborate with creative and analytics teams to test and optimize lifecycle content and offers.
  • Lead the evolution of the Hertz Car Sales brand and ensure a consistent voice and identity across all touchpoints.
  • Oversee creative development, campaign planning, and cross‑channel execution for national and local marketing initiatives.
  • Drive organic social strategy and influencer partnerships that authentically extend brand reach and engagement.
  • Manage agency and production partnerships, ensuring on‑time delivery, fully optimized paid media efforts, and brand‑right creative excellence.
