Job description

Terac: The Expert Network Powering Frontier Research

Terac helps teams reach faster research breakthroughs through our marketplace of verified experts. We are building agents to recruit, verify, and match 10,000s experts with 1000s of opportunities from the worlds most innovative organizations.

We work with leading enterprises and are backed by top investors.

tl;dr

We're hiring our first GM of Market Research at Terac. You will own the entire market research vertical from first customer conversation to closed deal to live project delivery. You'll help build the playbook, hire the team, and define how Terac wins in a massive, legacy-ridden market. You will work directly with our CEO to take Terac's wedge in the industry and scale it. Ideally, you are a strategic operator with industry experience who is pumped to bet on a career-defining role at a fast-growing, early-stage startup.

You will:
  • Own the full market research sales cycle from prospecting and qualifying leads, to running discovery, to closing deals and activating happy customers

  • Be the face of Terac to our market research customers

  • Build and manage the post-sales market research team: hiring project managers, research consultants, and panel operations specialists as volume grows

  • Hire your team. Train your team. Set the bar impossibly high and help everyone clear it.

You have/are:
  • Deep domain expertise in market research, consumer insights, or a closely adjacent space

  • Proven ability to sell and close complex deals with enterprise customers

  • Experience building and managing a services or delivery team. You know how to hire, onboard, and hold people accountable

  • Exceptional communication skills

Details
  • We operate in-person six days per week in our downtown SF office

  • Compensation: Competitive salary, menaingful equity vested over four years, $10K relocation bonus (for moving to the Bay Area), and an additional $5k housing bonus (if you move within 0.5 miles of our office), Health, Dental, Vision insurance, 401(k) with company match

  • Terac culture: Between weekly presentations, company hackathons, and an AI-first mindset, you'll be working with one of the most innovative teams on the planet.

  • Growth opportunities: You're joining Terac at one of the earliest stages and will have an opportunity to shape and grow with the company as a founding member.
