Job Title: Executive Assistant + Director of People and Culture
Pay Rate: $65,000-$75,000/year
Location: Columbus, IN
About the Role
We're hiring an Executive Assistant + Director of People and Culture to support executive leadership while overseeing key human resources initiatives. In this unique leadership role, you'll partner directly with the President & CEO to manage executive operations, coordinate strategic initiatives, and lead people-focused programs that support employee engagement and organizational success. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to make a meaningful impact within a growing manufacturing organization.
What You'll Do
  • Manage the CEO's calendar, scheduling, priorities, and executive communications
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, capture meeting notes, and follow up on action items
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and briefing materials for executive leadership
  • Coordinate customer and partner visits while serving as the primary point of contact
  • Track strategic initiatives and organizational projects to ensure timely execution
  • Serve as the primary HR liaison with the Professional Employer Organization (PEO)
  • Coordinate payroll changes, benefits administration, FMLA, and employee relations
  • Manage the full salaried employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding
  • Supervise the hourly recruiter and support staffing initiatives
  • Champion employee engagement, recognition programs, and company culture
  • Maintain HR policies, employee handbook, and people-related procedures
What We're Looking For
  • 3-5 years of experience in an Executive Assistant, HR Coordinator, or People Operations role
  • Experience supporting senior leadership with calendar management, scheduling, and executive communications
  • Working knowledge of HR practices, including benefits administration, payroll coordination, FMLA, employee relations, and PEO administration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to anticipate business needs
  • Strong systems and process improvement mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with HRIS or project management software preferred
  • Manufacturing or food industry experience preferred but not required
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
