Position Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for the safe and effective execution of daily operational plans and strategies. This role leads and allocates resources, ensures compliance with key processes, and drives performance across safety, quality, efficiency, and financial KPIs. The Operations Manager is accountable for product safety, quality, and legality while fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage at least two full-time exempt direct reports, including hiring, coaching, development, recognition, and performance management.
  • Direct all operational aspects of the facility across multiple shifts.
  • Monitor and evaluate productivity goals daily to ensure targets are met.
  • Promote and reinforce the company's teammate culture throughout the facility.
  • Ensure achievement of production, quality, and safety objectives.
  • Review and validate production and inventory reports for accuracy.
  • Coordinate with the Core Excellence Program and conduct regular audits for compliance.
  • Plan and manage operational budgets, including staffing levels, overtime, and headcount.
  • Lead initiatives to improve inventory accuracy and shipment/loading precision.
  • Implement process improvement programs using Quality Driven Management (QDM) methodologies.
  • Support the General Manager with special projects as needed.
  • Oversee daily activities of 40--100 team members, inspiring performance in productivity, safety, quality, and teamwork.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive optimal productivity and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve performance plans; identify and implement process enhancements.
  • Promote a safe work environment through training and accident preparedness initiatives.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Military rank of E-6 to E-7 or O-2 to O-3 may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a logistics environment.
  • Experience managing WMS, QDM, LMS, P&L, and talent development.
Skills and Competencies
  • Demonstrated leadership with the ability to lead other leaders.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in Six Sigma or quality management methodologies; Green Belt certification preferred.
  • Proven team-building and cross-functional collaboration experience.
  • Budget planning and P&L exposure a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
