Description:What You Will Be Doing
The Manufacturing Operations Specialist supports production, business, and related processes within a team oriented manufacturing environment. The role spans multiple cross functional areas-including production planning & control, total quality management, systems, equipment & facilities engineering, material management, and process reengineering-to ensure efficient, high quality output.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with production planning, scheduling, and control activities.
• Participate in total quality management initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
• Support systems, equipment, and facilities engineering tasks, including troubleshooting and upgrades.
• Manage material flow, inventory, and logistics to maintain optimal supply levels.
• Lead or facilitate self directed work teams, providing guidance and training in core manufacturing skills.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers on product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement projects.
• Contribute to process reengineering efforts to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve safety.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience in manufacturing, operations, scheduling and logistics
• Experience with MS Office Suite, interpreting engineering and planning documents in a professional environment
• Experience developing and leading projects
• Experience presenting to executive leadership
Desired Skills:
• Effective communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical details
• Innovative and proactive in continuous improvement. Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process-optimization methodologies is a plus.
• Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
• Demonstrated problem solving skills, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning
• Proven ability to build positive relationships with internal and external customers and teams
• F35 Manufacturing experience with low observable coatings, aircraft manufacturing, assembly or modifications
• Working knowledge and access to computer systems such as SFM, Qual Sight, & PDM
• Effective communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical details
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities; capable of training peers and facilitating team activities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and adapt to changing priorities

Ability to Work Remotely:Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
