Job Summary:

The Assistant Plant Services Manager (Day Shift) coordinates with the Plant Services Manager to direct and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, preventive maintenance programs, risk mitigation, tools, equipment, and the maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of the industrial plant. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Reviews job orders to determine priorities
  • Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
  • Coordinates activities of workers, fabrication, or modification of machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
  • Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide a continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
  • Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff.
  • Review production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
  • Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operation costs, and affect greater utilization of labor and materials.
  • Review new product plans and discuss equipment needs and modifications with design engineers
  • Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
  • Directs training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
  • Confers with management, engineering, and quality control departments to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
  • May prepare the departmental budget and monitor expenditure of funds in the budget.
  • Coordinate with the executive team to list, plan, and execute items on the CAPEX list. 
  • Develop an effective team that is engaged and works well together to accomplish the goals and KPIs for the department and company. 
  • Develop a culture and team cohesiveness built on prioritizing the uptime of the equipment through predictive and preventive processes, efficiency, tools, and equipment organization, and the urgency of reacting to equipment failure and getting back to production in the best possible time frame. 
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Requirements

Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience: 5 years of experience leading or supervising maintenance operations within an industrial environment, with an emphasis on mechanical systems and risk management training.

Skills/Aptitude: Mechanical ability, team building, math aptitude, and ability to troubleshoot problems. Effective written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate, train and educate. Ability to build successful regulatory agency relationships. 

Working Conditions:   Factory environment, airborne particles, machinery noise and occassional lifting up to 75 lbs.

Onsite in Everett, Washington, Day Shift.

Annual Base Salary

$75,000 - $105,000
