Description:

The position requires expertise in federal records management policies, statutory disclosure requirements, information governance, Personally Identifiable Information (PII) protection, and knowledge management principles. The specialist ensures organizational compliance with Department of the Air Force (DAF), Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Department of Defense (DoD), and National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) requirements while supporting leadership through analysis, reporting, training, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree and 2 years of relevant experience, or Associateโ€™s degree and 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with records management, FOIA, Privacy Act, or information management programs.
  • Knowledge of handling sensitive information, including PII and CUI.
  • Experience creating reports, correspondence, briefings, or other professional documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required background screening and sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Air Force, DoD, or other federal agencies.
  • Experience with AFRIMS, eFOIA systems, or records management software.
  • Experience developing executive-level correspondence, staff packages, or leadership briefings.
  • Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Familiarity with Air Force records management, FOIA, and Privacy Act requirements.
