Job description

Video Editor & Content Creator - Santa Barbara, CA (Preferred) | Hybrid Considered
Department: Marketing
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Santa Barbara
Compensation: $72,500 - $90,000 / year
Description
Create content that captivates, inspires, and elevates brands.
Silver Air Private Jets and Toxic Free with KB are seeking an exceptional Video Editor & Content Creator to help shape the visual storytelling behind two dynamic and rapidly growing brands-one rooted in luxury private aviation, the other in modern wellness and lifestyle media.
This is more than an editing role. It's an opportunity to build meaningful content that reaches audiences across aviation, travel, wellness, social media, podcasting, and digital marketing. You'll work closely with the Executive Assistant to the CEO, Marketing Partner, Marketing & Brand Manager, and CEO to bring ideas to life through compelling visual narratives that drive engagement and strengthen brand presence.
From private jet experiences and luxury destinations to podcast interviews and wellness content, you'll have the opportunity to create across a diverse range of projects and platforms. No two days are the same. We're looking for someone who combines creativity with speed, understands what captures attention in today's digital landscape, and takes pride in delivering polished, high-impact work.
The ideal candidate is naturally curious, highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about visual storytelling. You stay ahead of emerging trends, embrace creative challenges, and understand how to transform raw footage into content that people genuinely want to watch, share, and remember.
If you're ready to expand your portfolio, sharpen your craft, and help shape the future of two growing brands, we'd love to meet you.
This is a unique opportunity to create content across luxury aviation, travel, podcasting, wellness, and lifestyle media while working directly with senior leadership and having a meaningful impact on brand growth and audience engagement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own the post-production process across Silver Air Private Jets, Jason Middleton's executive content platform, and Kate Middleton's Toxic Free with KB.
  • Transform raw footage into engaging content that drives audience growth, brand awareness, recruiting visibility, and business development.
  • Produce content for Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, websites, email campaigns, podcasts, and paid advertising initiatives.
  • Edit and distribute Jason Middleton's podcast, executive interviews, thought leadership content, educational aviation series, and behind-the-scenes company storytelling.
  • Develop high-performing short-form content from long-form podcasts, interviews, events, and marketing footage.
  • Create compelling aviation, travel, lifestyle, wellness, and educational content tailored to each platform's audience and best practices.
  • Collaborate with leadership and marketing teams to identify content opportunities, trends, campaign concepts, and storytelling angles.
  • Execute color correction, sound design, motion graphics, animation, captioning, and visual enhancements that elevate production quality.
  • Maintain organized digital asset libraries, project workflows, templates, and content archives.
  • Stay ahead of emerging social media trends, editing techniques, platform updates, and audience engagement strategies.
  • Balance multiple projects simultaneously while consistently meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Measure content performance and continuously refine editing styles, pacing, hooks, and storytelling approaches to improve engagement and reach.
  • Act as a creative partner-not simply an editor-by bringing new ideas, perspectives, and content concepts to the team.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro required. Candidates seeking top-of-range compensation should demonstrate expert-level editing capabilities in both platforms.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including After Effects, Photoshop, Media Encoder, and related creative tools.
  • Demonstrated experience creating content for Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, podcasts, websites, and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Exceptional understanding of modern content trends, audience engagement, platform algorithms, and short-form storytelling.
  • Strong color correction, audio enhancement, motion graphics, captioning, and post-production skills.
  • Ability to transform raw footage into polished, professional content with minimal direction.
  • Experience editing executive-level content, interviews, podcasts, thought leadership pieces, and branded storytelling is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of luxury, hospitality, aviation, wellness, lifestyle, or premium consumer brands.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage content calendars, digital asset libraries, project files, and version control.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and cloud-based collaboration platforms.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment while maintaining ownership and accountability for deliverables.
  • Comfortable receiving direct feedback and incorporating revisions quickly while maintaining a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with executives, marketing teams, vendors, and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on-site, participate in content capture sessions, attend company events, and support occasional travel-related projects.
  • Self-starter mentality with a strong sense of urgency, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift and opportunities emerge quickly.
  • Passion for storytelling, creative excellence, and producing content that drives measurable business results.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of professional video editing and content creation experience.
  • Experience with podcast production and multi-camera editing workflows.
  • Photography, videography, drone, or camera operation experience.
  • Experience supporting executive personal brands, founders, or CEOs.
  • Experience managing content across multiple brands simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with private aviation, luxury travel, wellness, hospitality, or lifestyle industries.

What Success Looks Like
  • Consistently delivers content that elevates the Silver Air and Toxic Free with KB brands.
  • Produces engaging, platform-specific content that drives audience growth and engagement.
  • Brings fresh creative ideas to the table rather than simply executing requests.
  • Operates as a trusted creative partner to leadership and the marketing team.
  • Balances speed, quality, and attention to detail without constant oversight.
