Job description

Injection Molding Process Technician

  • Hiring for 1st shift (7am-7pm)
  • $27-$30/hr


Summary:
Set up, monitor, operate and troubleshoot plastic injection molding machines. The person in this role will have specialized knowledge of materials, specific tool and equipment. Troubleshooting tasks might include dealing with inconsistent material, faulty equipment, human error and preventing defects from occurring.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop New Processes as well as improve existing ones
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to process technicians.
  • Develop/Maintain process documentation, to ensure procedures are clearly stated
  • Demonstrate ability to start up, operate and shut down equipment.
  • Work with vendors to resolve machine and material issues.
  • Monitor/Report issues with injection molds and make recommendations for refurbishments based on cycles, process capability and tooling history
  • Facilitate and support safety, environmental and ergonomics efforts.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates degree or 2-year diploma from a technical school preferred.
  • Strong technical background in Injection Mold processing, tooling, equipment, materials and quality..
  • Computer aptitude required.
