Job description

Company information:

A leading supplier of plastics and metal fastening products and technology

Products include: Plastic and metal fasteners for the automotive market. This includes trim fasteners; fuel supply, springs, fuel cut valves, fuel pump brackets, and interior auto trim parts

Processes include: Plastic injection molding, metal stamping, wire bending, and assembly

Equipment includes: 100+ Injection molding machines, progressive stamping machines, and heat treat

Materials include: PP, Acetal, Nylon, PC-ABS, and TPE

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BSME)
  • Manufacturing background (preferably automotive)
  • Speak Japanese

Preferred skills:

  • 2-5 years of experience with Injection molding and or Metal Stamping (preferably automotive)
  • Project Management skills to manage projects from quotation to implementation
  • Processing knowledge to manage Tooling trials
  • Familiar with APQP process
  • Any CAD/CATIA experience is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Manage tooling projects from design through mass production
  • Designing and building fixtures (10% CAD time)
  • Involved with the tool design review
  • Oversee the tool build from preproduction into mass production
  • Troubleshoot production issues as they relate to the tooling
  • Work with tool shop or outsourcing once the tool is designed
  • Manage all preproduction events
