The Managing Director’s primary mandate is to develop and execute the program’s business development and program enhancement strategies. While ensuring operational excellence, the successful candidate will optimize the recruitment funnel, increase brand equity, and ensure the long‑term revenue performance of this self‑sustaining program. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with executive gravitas and an academic background to credibly direct a premier executive doctoral program.

Key Responsibilities Business Development and Brand Management
  • Lead the recruitment strategy with a focus on meeting and exceeding annual enrollment targets and revenue goals and increasing the excellence of successive student cohorts.

  • Translate the program’s academic value into compelling, market‑facing narratives that resonate with senior‑level decision‑makers.
  • In partnership with the Academic Director, produce an annual program report detailing brand equity, recruitment performance, graduation statistics, and societal impact to drive future growth.
Strategic Operations & Experience Management
  • Develop and execute the DBA program’s strategic and annual operating plans under the guidance of the Academic Director and the Dean’s Office.
  • Manage program budgeting and financial controls in coordination with the Dean’s Office to ensure maximum ROI on marketing and recruitment expenditures.
  • Ensure a premier physical and digital environment that delivers a “concierge‑level” learning experience for executive students and faculty.
  • Manage the strategic scheduling of courses and resources, including faculty assignments and residency logistics, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Supervise, evaluate, and develop professional staff and graduate assistants in relation to program marketing and operations management to maintain a culture of high performance and exceptional student service.
  • Engage with DBA alumni through the DBA Alumni Leadership Board and the CEBR to amplify the impact of their thought leadership.

  • Serve on College committees as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with University partners on executive education, research, and outreach initiatives.
  • As appropriate and with the permission of the Dean’s Office, develop curricula and have the opportunity to teach in the Robinson College of Business.

Required Experience
  • Significant professional experience in program leadership, executive education, or leading business development within complex organizations.

  • The ability to translate complex academic value and research into compelling, market‑facing narratives that solve professional challenges for senior‑level prospects.
  • Professional gravitas necessary to build immediate credibility with senior‑level decision‑makers and represent the program at national or international venues.
