Overview

Come join Team Atlantis! We are currently accepting applications for Executive Director of Sales. The Executive Director of Sales is responsible for leading the strategic direction and execution of all sales initiatives for Atlantis Casino Resort Spa Reno. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, this position drives revenue growth across hotel, group, convention, catering, entertainment, and resort business segments. The Executive Director of Sales develops and implements innovative sales strategies, cultivates key client relationships, and leads a high-performing sales organization to maximize profitability, market share, and guest satisfaction while reinforcing Atlantis' position as Northern Nevada's premier resort destination.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, collaborating with department leaders to achieve the strategic goals and financial objectives of Atlantis Casino Resort Spa.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive sales and revenue-generation strategies that maximize hotel occupancy, group business, catering revenue, meeting and convention sales, and overall resort profitability.
  • Lead all sales functions, including group sales, convention sales, corporate accounts, leisure travel, entertainment partnerships, and strategic business development initiatives.
  • Provide regular sales performance updates, forecasts, market intelligence, and strategic recommendations to the General Manager and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Develop and execute local, regional, and national sales initiatives that strengthen Atlantis' market position as Northern Nevada's premier resort destination.
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain a high-performing sales leadership team focused on achieving revenue goals and delivering exceptional client service.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, accountability measures, and sales metrics to drive team productivity and business results.
  • Oversee annual business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and revenue generation strategies for all sales segments.
  • Foster strong relationships with key clients, meeting planners, convention organizers, tourism partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management, Marketing, Food & Beverage, Hotel Operations, Casino Marketing, and Special Events teams to identify and maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and drive market share growth.
  • Represent Atlantis Casino Resort Spa at industry conferences, trade shows, client events, and community functions.
  • Ensure all sales initiatives align with Atlantis service standards, brand reputation, and guest experience expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as business needs require.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive sales leadership experience in a resort, casino, convention hotel, luxury hospitality, or related environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading sales organizations and achieving revenue growth objectives.
  • Experience with convention, meeting, group, and catering sales highly preferred.
  • Experience managing multimillion-dollar revenue goals and annual business planning processes preferred.
