Job description
Under the direction of the Senior Program Director and Executive Director, must provide feed the horses and maintain clean and safe equestrian environment to ensure the comfort and pleasure of YMCA patrons and animals throughout the Equestrian Facility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operations
- Feeds and care for animals on the schedule set by the Program director in accordance with the guidance of our veterinarian.
- Ensures the safety and cleanliness of the equine facility, including but not limited to, removal of animal waste and clearing obstacles that maybe harmful to the animals or our members.
- Communicate with the Property Director regarding potential hazards, concerns, and reports incidents that may need follow-up based on circumstances to the Senior Program Director or Executive.
- Suggests and initiates actions to improve facility appearance and cleanliness.
- Practice appropriate safety recommendations when handling and caring for the animals.
- Job functions include feeding and caring for the animals, animal waste removal and waste/garbage removal.
- Perform additional functions or assume additional responsibilities
