Job description

Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital is seeking an exceptional Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician to join and help advance our Concierge Medicine and Executive Health program.

This unique opportunity is designed for a physician who is passionate about delivering highly personalized, relationship-driven care and creating an unparalleled patient experience. The physician will provide comprehensive primary and preventive care to concierge medicine patients while also serving executives and other individuals participating in Houston Methodist's Executive Health program. The successful candidate will combine outstanding clinical expertise with exceptional communication, service, accessibility, and attention to the individual needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities

Concierge Medicine

Provide comprehensive primary care to a defined panel of concierge medicine patients.

Develop long-term, trusted relationships with patients through highly personalized and coordinated care.

Provide comprehensive annual physical examinations, preventive health assessments, chronic disease management, and acute care.

Maintain enhanced accessibility and responsiveness consistent with the expectations of a concierge medicine model.

Coordinate specialty consultations, diagnostic testing, procedures, and other services across the Houston Methodist system.

Serve as the central point of coordination for each patient's overall health care needs.

Develop individualized wellness and prevention strategies based on each patient's health history, risk factors, lifestyle, and goals.

Deliver an exceptional patient experience characterized by convenience, communication, discretion, and personalized service.

Executive Health

Provide comprehensive Executive Health evaluations for business leaders, executives, and other program participants.

Conduct thorough medical histories, physical examinations, preventive screenings, and individualized health risk assessments.

Review diagnostic and laboratory findings and develop clear, actionable recommendations for each participant.

Coordinate same-day or expedited diagnostic testing and specialty consultations when clinically appropriate.

Provide a comprehensive summary of findings and recommendations following each Executive Health evaluation.

Develop ongoing relationships with executives who may benefit from continued care through the Concierge Medicine program.

Partner with Houston Methodist leadership to continually enhance the Executive Health experience and expand the program's reach within The Woodlands and surrounding communities.

Patient Experience & Service Excellence

The Concierge Medicine and Executive Health physician will play an important role in representing the Houston Methodist brand and its commitment to unparalleled safety, quality, service, and innovation.

The physician will be expected to:

Create a highly personalized and seamless experience for every patient.

Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Provide thoughtful, proactive communication regarding results and follow-up care.

Collaborate closely with nurses, coordinators, specialists, and hospital leadership.

Maintain the highest levels of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.

Build strong relationships with patients, families, executives, community leaders, and referring physicians.

Identify opportunities to continuously improve the Concierge Medicine and Executive Health experience.

Program Development & Growth

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the physician will have the opportunity to help shape the continued evolution of Concierge Medicine and Executive Health at Houston Methodist The Woodlands.

Responsibilities may include:

Partnering with hospital and physician leadership to develop the long-term strategy for the program.

Building awareness of Executive Health services among employers and business leaders throughout The Woodlands and North Houston.

Supporting appropriate growth of the concierge patient panel.

Developing relationships with Houston Methodist specialists to provide streamlined access and coordinated care.

Identifying new services and innovations that enhance preventive health, longevity, wellness, and executive medicine.

Serving as a physician ambassador for Houston Methodist within the community. 2

Qualifications

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.

Eligible for an unrestricted Texas medical license.

Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and evidence-based medicine.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong commitment to patient service and relationship-based medicine.

Ability to coordinate care effectively across multiple specialties and services.

Interest in preventive medicine, wellness, executive health, and comprehensive primary care.

Experience caring for executives, professionals, or concierge medicine patients is preferred but not required.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an accomplished physician who views the patient relationship as central to exceptional medical care. This physician should enjoy spending meaningful time with patients, understanding their individual health priorities, and coordinating care across a complex health system.

The successful candidate will be clinically excellent, highly accessible, service-oriented, proactive, collaborative, and comfortable caring for executives and other individuals who expect a highly coordinated health care experience.

Equally important, the physician should be interested in helping build the future of Concierge Medicine and Executive Health at Houston Methodist The Woodlands.

The Opportunity

This position offers the opportunity to practice medicine differently-combining the personal relationships of traditional primary care with the resources, specialists, technology, and clinical capabilities of Houston Methodist.

The physician will inherit the foundation of an established program while having the opportunity to help define its next phase of growth, creating a premier Concierge Medicine and Executive Health experience for The Woodlands and the greater North Houston community.
