JOB TITLE: Parking Assistant
JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Hourly-Non-Exempt
LOCATION: Denver, Colorado
SUPERVISOR/MANAGER: CEO
PAY RANGE: $21/hour


Role Description:
The Parking Assistant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of our surface parking facilities in Downtown Denver. This role ensures efficient and effective oversight of parking services, including revenue collection, customer service, and light maintenance. The Parking Assistant will assist the CEO with operations and work alongside a team of parking enforcers to ensure a seamless parking experience for all users.


The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, will be exceptionally reliable, have a proactive approach, demonstrate outstanding customer service skills and will be highly accountable.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Support: Assist the CEO with the daily operations of our surface parking facilities, ensuring smooth and efficient service. Responsibilities include:

    • Issue citations for non-compliance of parking regulations and ordinances with a smart device. Impound, boot or relocate vehicles as directed.

    • Update lot signage to reflect current pricing.Assist in the collection and security of all monies received through parking meters and any other means of collecting parking revenues and fees.

    • Assist enforcement and event staff with activities related to parking for events. This includes but is not limited to setting up for events, traffic control, flagging, receipt of payment for parking, and lot usage control.

    • Assist with the renewal process for parking lot licenses and bonds, ensuring compliance with local regulations and timely submissions.

  • Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally. Ensure a positive parking experience for all users by answering questions regarding directions, events, building locations and parking policies. Immediately escalate issues related to customer experience to the CEO.

  • Maintenance: Coordinate with parking enforcers to ensure parking facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.

    • Assist with duties related to parking equipment and facility upkeep and maintenance. This includes but is not limited to inspecting and assessing lots for maintenance issues, cleaning and repairing parking meters, installing signs and picking up trash. Report any maintenance issues promptly to Property Management.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures. Implement and enforce parking rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate degree in business administration, management, or a related field preferred.

  • Experience:1-2 years of experience in surface parking or a related field is preferred.

  • Skills: Excellent customer service and communication skills. Proficiency in using parking management software and hardware.

  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently. Highest level of reliability and accountability. Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Reliable form of transportation required.

Working Conditions:

  • Environment: This role involves working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Occasionally required to bend and sit.

  • Hours: Part-time position with the possibility of working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule.
